Siam Bistro The Glen Shopping Center Free delivery within 3 miles
I just discovered this new intimate and stylish Thai restaurant in the same shopping center as Safeway, Take and Bake and Madigan's Grill. Two things stand out the most. One is the design inside. The owner tells me the design came from family members with help from a designer in New York. Dark bamboo-looking wood panel designs on the walls with a slate looking floor in a sleek modern theme that is a welcome change for the usual strip mall restaurant. The second thing that stood out for me was the quality of the tea. It was tasty and potent. The menu says they use high quality leaf tea, definitely not your average Lipton. I also enjoyed the food. I had pad thai with chicken and their spring rolls. I quite like the pad thai which had a nice portion of crushed peanuts. The spring rolls were good as well but it didn't stand out as unique. Their lunch special is a great deal and is such a nice change from the sandwhich shop. For only $7 you get a nice selection of entrees and apetizers but you must eat in the restaurant as it does not apply to carry out. There is no bar area at which to sit but wine, beer and cocktails are available. MORE REVIEWS FROM WL READERS: WL reader Anna has sent us a review of Siam Bistro.
